The Root 100—A Celebration of Black Excellence

How a derelict warehouse district turned into the coolest neighborhood in Buenos Aires

If you’ve been to Buenos Aires, you may have visited the Faena District in Puerto Madero, a residential and cultural community developed by the Faena Group. The Argentine real estate and development company is replicating its project in Miami Beach, and the Faena Forum, an exhibition center dedicated to the arts, is scheduled to open in April. The Forum will be part of Miami’s Faena District, a $1 billion investment in the heart of the city, mixing hospitality, real estate, and culture. Alan Faena and partner Len Blavatnik enlisted some of the top architects in the world, including Norman Foster and Rem Koolhaas, to design the buildings that compose the project.

FxF is a partnership between Fusion and Faena Art. Fusion is the organization’s Premier Media Partner, supporting the expansion of its cultural programs.
