A study released by Harvard this week finds that roughly half of millennials will vote Republican. There’s just one issue: The survey was conducted via landline. Nando Vila and Kal Penn take this flawed methodology to task.
But for more insight, we needed an expert. Raffi Williams is the deputy press secretary for youth at the Republican National Committee. He read that Harvard study too, and he explains the outcome thusly: Young people are sick of Obama and want to side with the youthful, hip party known as the Grand Old Party. He joins “Midterm Mayhem” to celebrate his impending victory and tell us a little more about why young voters have become disillusioned with the Democratic party.
