Among them were people identified Sandberg’s blind spot when it came to the unique challenges facing women of color in the workplace. The newest edition of the book aims to address that shortcoming by including more voices–among them, President of Ariel Investment Mellody Hobson.

Only two publicly traded companies are chaired by black women. Mellody Hobson is one of those women. Fusion’s Alicia Menendez sat down with Hobson to talk about how race and gender interact in the workplace.
