For over 20 years, controversial cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz has been provoking the nation with his sharp political satire. An outspoken advocate of the Latino experience in the U.S., Alcaraz uses his wit to point out inequality and social injustice wherever it exists.
His comic strip, La Cucaracha, is the first and only Latino-themed political comic in syndication. However, his body of work– while often hilarious, illustrates the revolving issue of immigration and the lack of progress when it comes to racism and racial profiling.
Currently, Alcaraz is a writer/producer for the much anticipated Seth MacFarlane animated series, Bordertown, set to come out in the spring of 2015.
