Congressman Patrick Murphy has some choice words for his rival Marco Rubio

Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-FL) has been campaigning around the Sunshine State to secure a win in the upcoming August 30 primary, but the 33-year-old is also in the race for the U.S. Senate. In a recent interview with Jorge Ramos, Murphy wasted little time before taking a jab at his likely opponent and Republican incumbent, Sen. Marco Rubio.

“He’s trying to play this kind of cute,” Murphy said, referring to Rubio’s decision to send a video message to the RNC held in Cleveland several weeks ago in lieu of showing up, despite his endorsement of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“He’s in this for himself, he doesn’t necessarily want to, you know, serve the people of Florida.”
